Old wood full of harmony

Our ancestors knew what was good. They ate products they grew themselves. They led active lifestyles, which made them far less ill, and when it came to interior design, they only used real wood for furniture. This explains why they were healthier and lived longer!

Due to technological progress - unfortunately we cannot go back to the times of past generations. However, we can give ourselves a taste of the "old life" and use old recycled boards to furnish our homes! Then we will see how good it is!

Old wood in rooms evokes an idyllic and rustic atmosphere. However, the great design effects we can achieve with natural boards are not all the benefits of having natural wood in the home. What else do we owe to wood?

What are the health benefits of old wood?

It's astonishing, but in addition to its many technical advantages, natural wood also has a beneficial effect on human health and well-being.
Numerous studies have shown that people who lived in rooms where the flooring, furniture or panels were made of wood experienced significantly less stress and had a better sense of well-being than those who lived in rooms with PVC board furniture.
What's more, the presence of wood in the home also promotes better concentration and overall focus.

Recycled boards

Wood is a natural material that also has bactericidal and fungicidal properties, making it ideal for homes with allergies. Wooden surfaces are easy to clean because dust does not settle on them. This is all thanks to the phenomenon of static electricity, which significantly affects the comfort of allergy sufferers in wooden spaces. In addition, wood improves the air quality in enclosed spaces and inhibits the growth of allergens.

Biophilic design

The enormous health potential of recycled boards, which we acquire from the demolition of huts, granaries and barns that once belonged to older generations, also lends itself to biophilia, or biophilic design, which refers to natural processes of nature.
A way to use recycled boards in biophilis design arrangements is to make furniture from old alder wood or decorate the walls with wooden 3D panels.

Wood and health

Wood, like no other raw material, promotes our physical and mental health. It reduces CO² emissions into the atmosphere and soothes the nerves. Those who have furnished their home in harmony with nature - their floors are decorated with old wood and their walls are covered with recycled designer boards - can enjoy communing with nature. As it turns out, having furniture or flooring made of old wood is comparable to direct contact with nature. So it's worth investing in old wood to reap the rewards for years to come!
