Rustic style, loft, shabby chic, eclecticism and the recently popular Scandinavian style - in each of these arrangements old wooden beams are a real must have. Those who want to realise one of the projects using wooden rafters - they can do it, and without the support of interior designers! How is this possible? All it takes is a bit of willpower, some creativity and wooden beams from our range!
We have been selling wooden beams for a long time. It's been over 20 years since we sourced this valuable raw material and supplied it to both Polish and foreign markets, where it finds its way into the hands of people with a special aesthetic sense.
Old wood is a unique product with hundreds of applications! When it comes to the use of old wooden beams, they are most often used to make lamps, as well as ceiling constructions.
Wooden ceiling beams can transform any interior and turn an ordinary whitewashed room into a designer space with great potential. Wood fits perfectly into any style and - what's more - it is also easy to install.
To fix wooden beams on the ceiling, all you need to do is measure the space carefully, cut the beams according to your preferred placement, apply glue to them, put them on the wall, support them properly, (while checking that the glue has 'set') and wait. Once the glue has dried, install the cross beams. If there are gaps between the beams, you can fill them with acrylic. That's it and that's it. These short instructions thus prove that fitting old wooden beams is no challenge at all - especially for people who have some carpentry or building experience.
Not sure if you can handle it? Our company sells wooden beams and cuts them to the size specified by the customer. So, once you have taken your measurements, you can place a complete order with us for timber beams for your ceiling, which will include pieces in exactly the size you deem suitable. Our wooden ceiling beams are a finished product that does not require any modifications!
There are plenty of rustic old beam lamps on the web that are beautiful, but... far too expensive for the materials used in them. It is worth noting that the wooden beams used in mass-produced lamps are not old, but aged, which definitely affects their quality. Making a lamp yourself from an old beam is therefore a great solution, thanks to which you can not only gain a beautiful and unique lighting element, but also save a lot of money! It's time to shed some light on how to make a lamp from an old beam!
An old wooden beam from our range, which we will cut for you free of charge, as well as cable, fixtures, bezels, cord, chain, hooks, screws, bulbs - these are the items you need to create your own wooden beam lamp.
The trickiest part of the assembly process is connecting the fixtures to the cables, so those who don't know the basics of electrics should ask for help from a specialist at this stage - after that, all you need to do is wrap the cables with string, attach them to the beam with screws, then screw the hooks and chain to the beam, mask the cables and once connected - hang the lamp on the ceiling. After that, you can just enjoy the original DIY version of the wooden beam lamp.
Admittedly, you are only a few steps away from your new, better interior! If you're ready for a good change - come and get your old wood beams!
P.S. Remember, no imitation wooden beams can match the properties of the natural raw material!
