Installation instructions for 3D panels made of old wood

Prepare the tools and materials needed for the installation of your 3D wooden panels

Have you already purchased our 3D wall panels? Now is the right time to organise the accessories that will help you with the installation, i.e:

  1. spirit level
  2. pencil
  3. tape measure
  4. putty knife
  5. primer
  6. Wood saw or jigsaw
  7. sandpaper, possibly a multi tool
  8. and a dedicated wood adhesive, preferably waterproof of D4 or D3 class

Take care of the substrate

If you want to install vintage 3D wood panels in your home, it is a good idea to first take care of the condition of the wall on which you will place them. The substrate should be even, smooth and dry - any unevenness or cavities should be filled and - of necessity - primed, so that the glue does not penetrate directly into the façade. By priming the wall twice, you will also reduce adhesive consumption.

Start the installation

First, place the spirit level against the wall and draw straight horizontal lines so that all the boards are installed evenly. (You can also glue the boards vertically if you think that this arrangement will fit better with your interior).
While you are doing this, measure and mark all the places on the wall where the sockets and switches are located, as you will need to cut holes in the boards in these areas before you fix them to the wall!

Plan how you want your wall panels to look

To do this, it's best to lay them out on the floor just before installation in the configuration you think will look best. Each panel differs slightly from each other - both in colour and in the number and distribution of the grain, so it is worth not skipping this step.

Glue the panels to the wall

Once the measurements have been taken and the appropriate holes have been cut in the boards, and the arrangement of the panels has been worked out, you can move on to installation. Only D4 or D3 glue can be used to glue the 3D panels made of old wood, as other preparations, e.g. water-based, may make our work much more difficult and may not be effective.
During installation, the panels will certainly need to be cut to size in places. To do this, measure the surfaces on the wall, mark the corresponding dimension with a pencil on the panel and cut it according to the marking. It is best to use a jigsaw to do this, but you can also use a hand-held wood saw.

Our panels are hard, so you will need to put some effort into cutting them evenly. However, we can assure you that people who are a little skilled in small household jobs should have no problem with this.

Tip: If circumstances allow, it is advisable to leave the panels in place for a while (preferably several days) before installing them. Wood is a natural raw material and should adapt to new conditions before it is processed.

Why choose our 3D wooden wall panels?

The biggest advantage of our real wood wall panels is their high quality.
We are the only company on the market with an FSC CERTIFICATE, which certifies that our panels come from 100% reclaimed wood, which has been reprocessed in our machinery park.

Our customers therefore do not have to fear that the 3D wooden wall panels we offer them are not original. They are an authentic product that is more than 30-40 years old and comes from Poland. We source the wood from reliable suppliers and selectively choose them so that our range stands out from other similar products of this type.

Our natural wood 3D wall panels are also products that are free of any insects and fungi, as we subject the reclaimed boards and beams to thermal treatments that protect the wood and prevent pest infestations.

3D wooden wall panels look great in any interior and give it a unique character. You can use them both in the living room and in the bedroom, as well as in the corridor. Just take a look at our gallery to see for yourself how 3D wall panels change a space for the better!
